I had a random thought - would exhaling into a tank put in a lot of CO2?

I'm in the process of setting up a new tank. Put in an airstone, and I exhaled through the line just to see how it looked in the location. That made me wonder, would exhaling like this add beneficial CO2 to the water column or is it just gassing off?

I have a couple small java ferns in the tank at the moment but no fish yet.

That's a lot of work to get co2.. diy yeast reactor and done for me. on the other side, with the amount of time he spends stepping up and down on a chair to increase co2 production, he's gotta be pretty fit, haha.

Trust me...I have no plans on doing this on-going. More curiousity than anything else...

Dam... cant exhale into the tank... lol Btw, how much CO2 is in the air that is blown in through an air pump?

This has been done. There's a guy that used to be on APC that used to fill up trash bags with air, and then pump that air into the tank. It was lame because he had to use like 4 55g trash bags a day or something ridiculous like that. Imagine having those sitting around and how trashy it would look.

Yes, it can be done, it has been done, but it's a headache.
