I must admit though, I've always wanted a tank with a big school of them. Down the road when I move my congos into the 120 gallon, I would love to take my 75 gallon and put 10 or 15 exos in there.
A piranha would be a terrible tankmate for Exodons, and a RBP would outgrow a 29g tank. I would also tend to agree that a 29g is rather undersized for Exodons as well. I have kept Otocynclus with Exodons in the past without issue, as far as tankmates go.
no exodons or tankmates in the 29. 29 is much too small for the bucktooth and even with pirahna it's a tossup as to who'd live. you need a big tank for exodon's to keep from killing everyone including themselves. Why don't you go with some buenos aires or emperor's and call it good? KYle
sorry, I did not read the tank size. Also, I have heard from a very large number of sources that a RBP and exodons go perfecto together. Exodons are the same thing as buck tooth tetras correct?
yes, exodon are bucktoothed tetras. I'm not sure what species of pirahna but exodon's are a natural food source for some type of pirahna but have also been known to shred pirahna. Guess it's a nasty fight, hehe. KYle
