Expired Pimafix

I'm not going to say which online store shipped me pimafix that expired October of 2005 and I got that bottle this week! Nov 27th 2007!!!!!!!!!!!

I called them and they apologized and will send me another one but my issue is................


is it any use? what can I do with it and what I shouldn't do with it?

never use an expired product. those expiration dates are there for a reason.

i would wait until you get the new bottle, and then throw out the expired one.

Some things tend to lose potency over time hence an expiration date. An example from the human world be medication. Medicines tend to gradually lose potency over time. I cannot say for certain if Pimafix loses potency or the expiration date is there for other reasons, but it is best to err on the side of caution. Seeing that the retailer is sending a replacement, it is best to not even fool around with the expired product.

Ok, wont tinker around with that stuff, also wondering what ethical way can I dispose of the liquid in the bottle- down the toliet? its 64 oz i would feel bad if i posioned the water supply you know?

I would throw it out in the bottle unopened to be safe.

Does your community have a HHW day? That's Houselhold Hazardous Waste - Most places do and it's a good way to dispose of chemicals that otherwise might be dumped incorrectly. Check it out.

Medications don't lose potency over time. Some medications lose potency over time. Some don't; it all depends. That's the only reason you should be concerned about the pimafix, not because it's expired, (because I'm sure that API is just covering their ***) but because you don't know what happens to the stuff over time. It's probably just fine, but you know, no guarantees. Hence the expiration date. Personally, I'd use it. If you aren't going to use it, just throw it in the trash. Pimafix is just bay rum tree essential oil diluted with water. People throw away way, way worse stuff all the time.

pimafix is comprised of organic substances.. it's essentially an herbal medication made of plant oils. it is safe to dispose of into a drain.

I only posted about HHW assuming it had chemicals in it. I guess I should have read more about the product before posting. If it's all natural as they say, go ahead and throw it out.
