We are looking for any inexpensive or free plants that we can add to a killifish breeding setup.

Willing to accept/purchase any type of floating aquarium plant that can be housed in a 40g breeder setup under 20,000K lighting. (excluding duckweed)

We have a tank already filled to the rim with duckweed, and do not wish to have the plant take over another tank. : )

Can pickup if you live close, or willing to pay USPS First Class, or USPS Priority Mail shipping cost.

I have plenty of hornwort and Najas grass. However, the tank also has duckweed, which stays under control thanks to the fish who nibble on it and the agitation from filters and such. Also, it may have some snails/snail eggs.

If you still want it though, I can send it for just about the cost of shipping...although I can't imagine there aren't people in North Carolina that have some for you!

I called up all the local petstores, and none of them carry any hornwort or floating plants. The only live plants I have seen available at Petco and PetsMart are swords, and moss but they are way overpriced lately.

Pm sent.
