extreme makeover:tank edition!!!

Almost 3 years since the last post I thought an update photo might be well past due! lol

My male Kenyi pretty much killed every other african cichlid tank mate over last 3 years so I got him some equally aggressive friends to keep him and Schlurpie the upside down catfish company - a pair of Polyopterus (Senegal Bichir?)

Besides so new driftwood and an extra filter - not much has changed...

Very nice! I liked all aquascapes, the original make-over looked really nice!

How it is now, also looks very nice. Lots of variouos wood scattered around, very natural!

One more update... tank closing up on 4 year anniversary and still going strong!
Currently home to 1 Kenyi, 2 Pleco's and an upside down cat...

awsome! but you sure thats a kenyi? looks like maybe a hybrid with kenyi mixed? besides that love the tank! going to do a redo on my 75

That does look like a mix...my male kenyi was blue and white and also kind of a jerk.

he changed from pale-blue black to yellow when he started having his way with all the females so maybe he's a mixture of all sorts! he's the most aggressive fish i have ever owned... even attacks my fingers when i do water changes! must be part piranha! :nono:
