Extremely FAT shaking male guppy!Help me!

This morning I looked at my guppy tank and my orange male guppy was sitting towards the bottom shaking and breathing heavely. I noticed that he was fat but now it looks like he is ready to have babies!!! Now I was told by the Pet Store person that it was a male and it looks like it is but why is it so fat? and why is it shaking :help:

ok..so know one needs to help me now. about 10 minutes after I wrote this I went to look at my sick guppy, Hoss. He was dead!!!!!!! :(:(:(..he swam to the top of the tank not ten minutes before!The temperature, and water were perfect so I don't know why he died. I also don't know why he looked pregnant! I have never seen a male guppy that is so fat before! I've seen pictures of pregnany guppies and his stomach looked just like that. So now I only have 1 guppy in 6 gallon tank. I will not add another guppy to it because I will be moving in the next few months most likely. So please if ANYONE has any clue why he died..please tell me!
 
Swim bladder problem is the only thing I can think of off hand. Unless you were really really overfeeding, but I doubt that. Sorry for your loss:( but if it happened this quickly there was little you could have done to save him NEway.
 
Dropsy is also another possibility, were the scales sticking out like a pinecone somewhat? If it was dropsy there's little you can do once the fish gets very bloated. Dropsy may be caused by internal bacteria infection or viruses and the chance of treating dropsy successfully, even when detected early, are very low.
 
I didn't see any scales sticking out but I did notice a TINY brown patch on his side. It might have been there all along but i don't know.
 
I'm going with Dropsy too. Because the guppy is a smaller than most fish, it may be possible that the scales are too small to be seen. Keep an eye on the other fish as I'm not sure of the contagious potential....
