EYES finally open !

Thanks Grins, that was a great link! There were a few things on there I have seen in my tank and didn't know exactly what they were. Limpets being one of them.. I always described them as "barnacle like" but I could never figure out exactly what they were. I have heard the name Limpets used before, but never put 2+2 together. I also have a bunch of stomatella varia that I thought were just baby turbo snails still growing a shell. LOL.

Now I just need to find out what my bad little clear/white anemones are.. not aptasia, tentacles are flat/clear with white dots at the tip.. not pointing upwards like the white/clear aptasia pics I have seen.

well, that last link that grins posted had a picture of EXACTLY what i was asking about!! i have a spinoid worm in my tank. funny...the guy at the lfs told me it was a small octopus....psh. haha, oh well, at least now i know what it is. thanks so much grins for that link, it's amazing, and without a doubt answers my question!!!

I wish I did.. and just spent the last 15 mins googling, looking for a picture of one. I will take a pic of it later and post for ID. Best way to describe them, flat, size of a dime, no real base/foot like you see on aptasia's. They come right out of the rockwork. Tentacles and mouth are clear and the tentacles radiate out in a flat disk like pattern. At the tips of each tentacle is a white dot. They are all at the very bottom of my tank out of the light and I don't see any higher than 6" from the sand.

rxdoc_85 so is this your mystery creature ?SPIONID WORMS ?

There was one other thing i cant quite discribe and only caught a glimps of it . i will try and locate it tonight ,it was a brighter fleshy looking bug like but i think it was a kind of worm , i could see the lots spiny looking legs .

I think it may be one of these.

It is a Corynactis, and bad for tanks as I had guessed. Mine don't seem to stretch and have a long foot though.
