failing brine shrimp hatchery

HmmI can't seem to hatch brine shrimp
I am using the two 2-liter bottle methods with the constant aeration. I added about a half teaspoon of eggs to one liter of water and added about two tablespoons of salt. I did not constantly light the eggs because I had trouble finding the lights. Most of the time, I placed the eggs in direct sunlight at about 82-85 degrees.

Well aerated, low light, too much salt?
It's been 48 hours using this sanfranscio bay eggs, and none of them have hatched.

Any suggestions? I'm going to empty out and try again when I become more knowledgable.

BY the way, I am using AP Aquarium salt (not sure if this matters)

any help would be appreciated.

I believe the eggs come in a salt mixture already. Check the package again. Everything else seems correct to me.

yeah-san fran bay does have salt in the mix. not sure what double the salt would do-i guess it will kill them.this girl seems to have a nice hatchery

They do?
I dont use those hatch mix packs
Rather, I use their 6 gram vial of eggs

No, the vials do not contain salt. The mixes do.

First, the eggs may take a little longer to hatch. They don't need sunlight to hatch (I don't think), but they are attracted to it, and this is generally used to lure hatched shrimp out of in-tank hatcheries to your fish tank, where they are eaten.

Anyone got any idea what (or how) to feed the shrimp once they hatch? I'd like to get them to grow a bit bigger, like the size you can buy frozen in the fish store. Thanks in advance for any advice.

you can buy foods for them. you can also use spirulina powder. i have been dropping liquifry in my hatchery lately (not sure if its actually feeding them though-but they have been lasting longer than normal)

I believe green water, yeast, hard-boiled egg yolk, and infusoria are among the foods they will eat.

Luquifry says that one of it's uses is to feed brine shrimp, so yes, that'll work.
