Fair Prices... HELP!!!

hey guys i havent been active lately since aquariumadvice banned me... so what is a decent price that i can expect for a 55 gal stand? either that or i could DIY it if i DIY it how do i put it together.... i would love some responses.. thanks

the stand I have I bought at Petsmart, it costs about $140 plus tax.

Walmart has a really nice black sleek one for 150$. I bought it a couple years ago...and one to match for the 29g. I like them. I'm sure you could DIY for cheaper than that but I can't help you past my experience.

atleast a hundred to buy and it wont be as strong as a diy which should cost no more than 20 for a basic one, all you need are 2x4s

wellhow many 2x4's do i need and how do i put it together? its hard for me to put these things together, and is it safe for me to paint it? and what color sould i paint the stand??

Some guy on ebay is selling tank stand plans..you might check that out.

You could also check the GARF website, (can't recall the URL but if you Google it should show up). There are plans there as far as I remember.

I saw a 55g tank on a big old tank of a man's dresser and it worked just fine.
The guy paid 25 bucks for it at a junk furniture store. A bit of sanding and varnishing and it cost about 40 bucks in total.

He keeps food and accessories in the drawers.

Just save your money for a while and buy a stand rather than fire up the acetelyne.
