Yes, along with the plastic plants, add some plastic fish while you at it.
I mean come on?
Plastic fish never jump out of the tank and die.
They are cheaper.
You can paint them any color you want.
You don't have to waste $$$ on expensive food nor laborious feeding routines.
They don't get diseases.
No issues without overstocking
They all get along with eachother/no fighting
Some fake fish look almost as good as real fish.
The live a looong time

The same arguments used to justify the hassles of live plants applies equally to fish also. Fish are a "hassle" just the same as plants.
But..........unlike most all fishg only tanks, when you take good care of the plants, the fish have an excellent.
Happy plants= happy fish.
Start at the base of the ecosystem and build up from there to provide a better much more natural home for the fish, not top down.
