Fan and lighting Question.

Hello, i have a 2x54w Nova Xtreme T5HO lighting on my 55g. and the fan on it makes alot of noise, very annoying! anyone know how much the fan is needed? its driving me crazy. Thanks for the help!

The fans are very much needed, especially in a T5HO lighting unit...the overheating potential is very real, so, cooling is required.....If they are noisey, its easy to buy replacement fans....they cost very little and easy to fit..

Measure the fan or enter the model number into google, fans are cheap.

none of my cf have fans.... t5 run cooler than cf. might just need to grease it a little or like reefer said replace the fan.

I just bought some replacement fans for my BioCube. I bought computer fans that were the same size (60mmx25mm I think) on Ebay for $11 each.
