As long as the water isnt too cold then they do well but again they can get annoyed at goldies digging around them. I reckon the temp shouldnt get below 18c.

Bristlenoses may attach themselves to the goldfish and eat the slime coats. This results in the pleco takning a circular chunk out of the goldfish.

pleco's don't normally attach themselves to other fish unless they are underfed. If plecos are displaying this type of behavior, perhaps they are lacking in veggies and algae disks or another diversity of foods.

Its rare for a bristlenose to latch on to goldies, ive never heard it but common types need more protein rather than veg as they get bigger and slime coat is too delicious to pass up.
