I moved 5 fancy guppies from a QT to a 40g yesterday. The 40g had diatoms, especially on the rocks. The guppies immediately started to poke at the rocks. When I woke up this morning, all diatoms were gone. I have never heard about guppies' eating diatoms. What's going on?

My endlers have been nibbling on the brown algae on my anubias leaves, and just about any other tiny algae bits growing in my tanks. They remind me of birds, constantly pecking!

A great bonus on top of having pretty guppies in your tank!

There are 8 granite rocks in the tank. They look like someone just polished them. Absolutely clean. Now the guppies are pecking at the intake pipes of two Eheims.

Yep. I decided to hold back on my flake feeding to see how they do. My cories keep the sand spotless, so hopefully my endler will do the same for plants/glass. Only got four, so it may take awhile... At least until the next batch or two of fry
