This may not be the place to post this...

....But is it even worth it to post in the Classifieds about fancy guppies?

What do I do with all these little buggers? I don't want to use them as feeders or give them to anyone who does; I just need to get rid of them. LFS said they would buy them and then went out of business...

Depends on the strain of fancy guppies. People may not spend enough to make it worth your while unless you have a rarer strain.

Post it - it can't hurt. You may find someone who is very near you. I'll move it over there now, and leave it here too.

If my last big cat dies, and I want to fill 800 gallons with guppies, well, you never know ;)

edit:
If you don't have anything intelligent to contribute, don't post at all. Keep your narrow-minded opinions to yourself, please.

That was not very nice. There are some beautiful, yet rare, strains of fancy guppies available. These can command higher prices than some of the rarest livebearer species because of familiarity with the guppy and the surprise that a rare strain may bring.

I agree that it is rare to see guppies fetch the highest price at auction, but I am not surprised that it has happened, and I would not be surprised to hear of it happening again.

The concern at this point is not money. I'd like to get rid of my guppies, but I have this thing where I can't stand to just feed them to something... Anybody in the area is welcome to them free of charge. I will have pics by next weekend that I will post in this thread.

Ah, I see the confusion...you asked if it was worth it to do this, and I thought that you meant on a monetary level...I now realize what you meant. Thanks for the clarification, and I hope that someone takes the guppies.
