Fancy tailed goldfish? Questions, suggestions and HELP!

You know I could see the LFS's like Petco and Petsmart doing something like that, but we have 2 exotic fish stores in the town I live. One guy is WONDERFUL at his job and he is the one that usually comes over to my house and helps me out when I am having problems, such as diagnosing problems or whatever. I purchase all of my test kits from him, supplies, and even fish; the name of the company is "Exotic Tropicals". I recommend him to anybody that is starting out in the aquarium hobby locally, whether it be tropical freshwater or saltwater marine.

Then there is the other place which is called "Tropical Amazon"; this guy is a complete dip ****! Exotic's was closed and I needed an ammonia test kit, went by the new place to see if they had them, get in there and was appauld by what I saw. In one of those extremely small stocking tanks, he had nearly full grown Angelfish, at least a dozen or so. In another tank he cory's that looked like they hadn't been fed in so long they were begging for food! Then as I round the corner, he had tetras w/ baby oscars!

Needless to say I'm not one for keeping my mouth shut and horrible about speaking my opinion whenever I feel like, so I asked him why he had the stocking tank stocked the way he did. He didn't have an excuse really, I guess he didn't do his homework either!

As far as my Goldies....(spot and heafty) they are great. They follow me around the kitchen (put them next to the breakfast nook in the dining room) and they love it. They can see the living room and the computer desk where everybody spends a lot of time. I am looking for a 29 gallon for them; I think they will be much happier. They eat really good and act happy; they look a lot happier than they did when my step daughter brought them here!
