I've been having bad luck with goldfish, but I thought I'd give it one more shot before giving up all together. So, I went out today and bought a second fantail. It is very small, less than 2 inches long, but the tank and fish looked very healthy at the LFS. I brought him home, floated the bag for a little while, added some tank water to the bag and floated it a little while more, then set him into the tank. So far he has been hiding out near the filter output or in a large plant in the back. I am worried that he is not doing well. Is there anything that I can do to make this transition better for him? It is a 25 gallon tank with just the two fans, i have no QT tank

he's gorgeous! i love goldfish!
i wish i could help you... how long has he been in there? maybe he needs a little bit of time to acclimatize?

you're probably right, chrisinha. He's only been home a few hours now- I'm just super paranoid after losing 5 out of 6 goldfish so far, and i want to make sure i do everything i can to keep this one happy and healthy!
