I just recently decided to start a shrimp tank. but i need some that will reproduce quickly, and where the babies dont need special food

Inexpensive here at the forums, yes. At LFS where 1 of them is $5, no.

for some reason, cherry shrimp are REALLY expensive at LFS

Red Claw shrimp are also prolific, easy to care for, and very interesting. I've watched them gain popularity over the years, and like to think that I helped too .
