Fastlight81's 37g planted journal

My plants arrived today! Just kinda planted them in no specific order. 12 species 53 plants! My tank looks full again. Some of the plants are kinda beat up from the shipping, but I do believe for the most part they will make a full recovery. I took a picture but my computer crashed the other day so i need to reinstall the camera program. I am really excited again about plants in my aquarium. Im having trouble iding some of the plants...just cause I am not familiar with them. I will post pictures asap.

This is not a very good picture at all. Quickly taken, just to get a size to see how the do on the upcoming week. The plants are not planted in any order... As I get more familiar with these species of plants I will rearrange.

So just for a tease...and belive me it looks millions times better in person...

It looks nicer already!!

If you are having algae problems, I'd get some water sprite. It'll make your tank looks shorter with the water sprite's roots and all hangin down, just a thought.

Agreed, I love my sprite and boy does it grow like crazy ONCE it tankes root.

Stopped at petsmart by chance today...and what do I find? A bunch of oto's! Guess who has 5 new oto's in his tank?! lol ok time for a 90 gallon!

Just a question.... where would you purchase tweezers for planting plants? I dont want to buy them online. and spend 30 bucks for a pair. I want to buy them locally and ones that are like 10in long. I think I will be able to plant in tighter groups with tweezers

Cleaned the aquarium today. Also marineland sent me replacement parts for my c-220 and my cannister filter is finally quiet. Praises to marineland or standing by there products. Oh and get this I pulled out the trays and what do i find in the water? 3 RCS!!!! I couldnt believe it. WHo knows how long they have been living there in the dark! I really need to put something on the intake. There are now 5 rcs in my aquarium... No idea what happened to the other 5. I also reaquascaped my new plants..and lets just say I may have actually found a lay out I like and will keep for some time!!!! Such a relief. Pictures eventually today

Pictures to go with the crickets I am hearing on this thread.....
