Hi all,

One of my longfin gold Danios looks like she's gonna pop. I thought for awhile that she was just fat, but now I'm starting to worry. She always swims at the top & is the first to gobble up food. Is there something I can do to slim her down, is it Bloat? Help:confused:

Danios ....

Danios are maybe even easier to breed than convicts -- which is to say, they're ALWAYS breeding.

You'll notice your females get fatter and thinner periodically. They're egg-scatterers and devoted egg-eaters, so it's unlikely that you'll see any fry in the tank.

The fatter she is the better health she is in. If she is conditioned for breeding by you feeding her enough food than she will lay eggs every 11-14 days. Don't worry about her health because that is perfectly normal danio behaviour!
