I woke up this morning and found my female rosy barb seemed to be alot fatter than usual. She's acting normal for the most part, she has sat around in the plants alittle more often, but nothing odd. I assume she has eggs in her, but I've never had fish before. Is this a good bloating or a bad bloating? There is a male rosy barb in there.

Hope the pictures work. The first is her yesterday, and the next 2 are her today. I don't have many pictures of her from before. That's probably the best one.

she could be full of eggs, especially considering that the male is starting get his breeding colors going
She is indeed full of eggs. Best of luck, pal.:) Gorgeous male there.;)

Speaking of the male, I woke up this morning and his spot is gone. When we got him he had a very pale spot and it filled in after a day or 2. I guess he's a day or 2 younger than the female.

With both the parents and 3 ghost shrimp is there any chance at all that any fry will make it? I can seperate the tank in half and keep the others away if they lay the eggs away from the ghost shrimp half of the tank. This being my first tank I'm not gung ho about having a bunch of fry. Maybe later in my career but right now just keeping normal fish alive is the goal. I just have the one tank as it stands and not much money. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh and pictures. The male's spot has faded and the female might be a bit thinner, but not by much.
