Yep--gibby's and commons both need a bit meatier diet as they mature.

any suggestion on how to give them meaty foods?
my problem is that they are in the same tank with bichirs, and siamese tiger.
also arowana. so there's not much food left for them.

veggies

I've heard that neither is particularily high in nutrional value. While your pl*co may enjoy snacking on them, his diet probably needs to be supplemented w/ spirulina tablets also, and probably some collard greens as well, because they are alot more nutrional.

Feed them after lights go out. If possible, setup a cave that you can get the food into--this will protect it from the other fish, while the gibby will be able to get to it easily.

thanks

thanks archangel..
i sometimes drop hikari wafers for them..
but i'm thinking if thye need meat also?

thanks oriongirl:)
problem is bicgirs are also nocturnal..
but i fed them till 100% full so that there'll be some left for my gibbys:)

btw can beefheart be fed to gibbys?

Yep, they will take beef heart. Hmm..overlooked the bichirs. Stuffing them should work--gibby's can be aggressive, so it should be able to defend food without a problem.

Perhaps your pleco will enjoy eating those sinking shrimp pellets. They may have the protein you are looking for and won't mess up the water as much as meat.

my pleco LOVES shrimp pellets
he goes nuts when he gets one
