So about 6-8 months ago, I bought 4 Orange Poso Tylo's for $20 each. I finally got a baby out of them after waiting 5 months.

We keep the tank water at 84F and they've been fine. The heater has been working for almost a year (it was brand new when we got it).

Friday afternoon, my wife had her hand in the tank and noticed it was pretty warm. She checked the thermometer and it was around 110F. All of the snails were in their shells and the shrimp weren't moving. She finally got the temp back down to 84 and the shrimp started moving and so did the baby Poso, but we lost all 4 adults.

$80 worth of Poso's.... gone. :swear:

Did it happen to be a tetra submersible heater?

No. I don't remember the brand actually... I'll have to take a look once I get back home.

Yeah, I keep a large population of pond snails in this tank too and they ALL survived! These Poso's were the only casualties.
