hello everyone i wanted to add a schooling fish to my tank but dont know what to use...i know i might not have everyones fav. but this is the only ones i can get where im at..so just vote for the one you like best.....t.i.a:) :) :)

Glowlights are my favorite :D. They shoal as well as cardinals but provide a different neon color to the average blue & red of cardinals and neons.

I would have picked tiger barb overall since they are more active and more fun to watch although not as colorful as some listed. I picked rummynose because it's my favorite to actually look at. the ones I have seem to be weaker than the others though. I keep getting ich and unexplained deaths. I only had 3 (now 2) so maybe I just need more to keep them happy. I keep 3 of all my other tetras with no problems and they seem happy. I have rummynose, glowlight, cardinal, neon, bloodfin, greenfire and lemons in the same 55 gallon. I also have harlequins, whiteclouds and zebra danio's with them and I do like the harlequins being stronger but they definitely don't have the color. I picked up 4 more neon tetras the other day since they were on sale and figured I'd up their school. After I add another filter to the tank and get some more money, I'll probably add to the other groups. Kyle

I love my Serpaes. Not a big mover, but they school pretty tightly, and my tank decorations are orange/red, so they go well with it.

Hello!

I'm voting for Bloodfins, because they are the most active schooling fish in my tank. Very nice to watch, with a nice touch of color and never bossy toward the other fish. If I was starting over, I would not get Black Widows (the are the same as Black Skirt Tetras, right?). They hang out under the heater most of the day, only coming out to eat and harrass the other fish.

My two cents :-)
