i like the silver arowana..
i had one before, bought it when it was abt 2", kinda fun to watch when it eats
but i also like the way the red snakehead hunts.. pretty quick and relentless when it is hungry, will even try to take down fishes bigger than its mouth
My Favourite carnivore is my Psuedacanthicus Leoparduss (non-predatory carnivore L114).
My Wish list for predatory carnivore tank is (once I can afford to have the tank built!) P Leopoldi, P Motoro, Black Arowana and if I can find one a Gold Cross Back Arrowana
(Yes i spend all my available money on fish!!!)
The thing I wish I could have more than anything would deffinetly be a red tailed cat and I think I would enjoy a tiger shovelnose as well but they simply get TO big.
Im going to have to do with my zig zag eel! What a personality and hes so much fun to watch. Hes only a baby so its mostly black worms that he eats but man does he have fun with them!
Freddy, I know this is an old post but I had one of those about 10yrs ago in a 90g. It was one of my favorite fish I have ever kept. Very cool indeed. One was shipped to my LFS as a Mexican Dragon Moray by mistake...and a very expensive mistake at that.
I got a $500-1000 eel for under $100. I'm sure someone was kickin' themselves for that mixup. How they managed that is beyond me as these fish are very difficult to obtain.
He was fed every other day...usually with squid, krill, chopped fish and frozen silversides. He wasn't too fond of the silversides but loved the krill and squid. Once a week I would treat him to some live feeders. He was very fond of the blue damsels I'd bring to him to dine on. They're a bit expensive($5) but a lot better for him than feeder goldfish. One or two damsels a week isn't too much to ask when you are feeding a Hawaiian Dragon, IMO. I kept him for about 2 yrs and eventually sold him for $850. The guy who bought him was thrilled with the price. Of course I never told him how much I actually paid for it..lol.
