Favorite F/W EEL?

What is your favorite F/W EEL? And why

i didnt know there was a freshwater eel. i thought all those listed [but the ropefish] like a little salt.

Aethiomastacembelus plagiostoma (Tanganyika Zebra eel)
Aethiomastacembelus elipsifer ( Tanganyika Leopard Eel)

I have done a search and this is the only place so far i could find info on the Leopard Eel

Any of the Birchirs..

I own 2 Senegals,great to watch as they seem to be the most active of all Birchirs,even during the day.

I just thinks its kind of funny, none of the "eels" mentioned are really eels. In fact, there aren't any FW eels.

Untrue. The american brown eel is an anadromus species that lives most of it's life in FW (many migrate to SW to breed, but purely landlocked populations exist all over the place).
