I'm thinking about starting one more tank, (aquarium #4). Probably a 29 or a 40. I am trying to get ideas now, to make this aqaurium extraordinary.

What are your favorite freshwater fish you currently have, and why?
What are your favorite freshwater live plant you currently have and why?

I like Java Fern.

Hardy and needs little light or nutrients to grow well.

My Blood Parrot. I don't care what people say about how they are made, I love them. They have great personalities and I like the way they look.

My second would be my mollies also because their personalities.

I have to add one more.... My corys... just because they are silly.

Plecos. Any plecos, all plecos. Preferably Royals. Next comes loaches. Any loaches, all loaches. Preferably Clowns, but too big for your setup.

As to plants, I guess I have to go w/ Amazon swords. I have lots of plants in my tank, but I don't seem to have very good luck w/ them.

My favorites are cichlids, because of their personalities, then would be my Exodons because they are just a feeding FURY!! And of course my guppies, because they beg like little doggies for food when they see me!

And last but not least would be the loaches, because they like to play tag with EVERYONE in the tank.

I hate to admit it but right now it's hands down the royal pleco, awesome looking, bad attitude, but not highly dangerous. Just a really cool fish evey way you look at it he owns the tank, everyone else gives him leaway but he doesn't try to hurt the other fish once they get out of the way.
Next would be my dempsey, but this is the first dempsey I've ever preferred over an oscar. this one has a lot more personality and bad attitude than most I've owned, and my Current Oscar just doesn't have it. He's still a cool fish and the first wild caught Oscar I've owned. But he isn't your typical puppy dog in a tank that you usually get with O's. Any of the big medium to large SA cichlids are usually awesome.

I love cherry barbs. They're sweet little community fish, active and pretty. They're happy in pairs and in groups, get along with other community fish and don't nip long-finned fish like other barbs. They're fun to watch and really brave - the seven girls in my 10g attack my hand whenever I do maintenance with sharp little bites! I've got three boys in the big tank who chase eachother around and play in the current together. I just like 'em cause they make me smile :D

As for plants, I actually really like the lowly Hygrophila polysperma. It's unbelievably tough, grows quickly and it's great for filling in spaces.
