O.K. so there is probly a thread on this already so im sry if i copied -lol- but i want to know what kinda of music all of yall like and what your favorite band or who your favorite artisit is...

...i would have to say my favorite music is Metal my fav. band is Lamb Of God and my fav. song by them is Omerta

I enjoy pop rock, alternative rock, slow rock any rock as long as it is not hard/heavy rock.

Currently listening to Nickelback, System of a Down, Story of the Year, Lifehouse, Staind.

Was/Still listening to Nine Days, Matchbox 20, Linkin Park, Green Day, 3 Doors down, simple plan, Good Charlotte etc...and of course Creed.

For me it has to be classic rock.. late 60's early 70's .. but I do listen to alot of earlier rock as well.. and even Elvis alot (means i'm getting old I suppose) .. I love all forms, but my favorite band?

Anything by Deep Purple up through Perfect Strangers album would rate as my all time favorite and most listened too.. Newer DP is alright.. but not a big listen for me.. Favorite Deep Purple Song? That's a tough one.. a Lyrical song by them I'd say "Child in Time" and Insturnmental would deffinetly be "Son Of Alerik".

In the later Music realm i.e. Alternative, Grunge etc.. Mother Love Bone .. which I still listen to on a daily basis.. sadly though the band never went far as the lead singer died.. parts of which the band later formed Pearl Jam .. whom are near the same level for me as Deep Purple in respect and likeability. :)

I also have moments of strange music taste and listen to alot of Celtic as well.

...i like Enya...i really do listen to everything Pinky Floyd is Awesome Brain Damage and Eclipse are great songs

Can't believe someone else listen's to Mother Love Bone! Do you listen to green river, screaming trees, mudhoney and alice in chains (Fav. band) too?

Can't leave out the Melvins and Primus either (even though they aren't grunge..but close enough :D

Metal....(death metal, black metal, doom, power, progressive, grind core, etc.) :D
Fav bands include: Opeth, Carcass, Amorphis, Diabolical Masquerade, Agalloch, Dark Tranquility, Dimmu Borgir, Eucharist, Katatonia, Soilwork, My Dying Bride, Saturnus, Spiral Architect....yada yada.

I would say that Opeth is my fav band...'Still Life' is my fav. album.
I've seen them live a few times and got to meet and hang out with them after the shows. They're pretty laid back guys...very cool.

Okay...I'm going to prove my age and complete "un-coolness". My all time favorite is James Taylor!! LOL

I have pretty ecclectic taste in music...love Matchbox 20, The Beetles, George Strait, Miles Davis...those are my favorites I guess. How is that for an odd collection of music? LOL..OH and to really top off my nerdiness I ADORE broadway show tunes.

I'll show my age too...I like a variety..
Doors
Fleetwood Mac
Heart
Blue Oyster Cult
Eric Clapton
Meat Loaf
Pink Floyd
REO Speedwagon
Rolling Stones
U2
Sting
Billy Joel
Eagles
Doobie Brothers
BTO
Gordon Lightfoot
Harry Chapin

dude i love Opeth im actualy listening to it right now -lol- my favorite song by them is the Grand Conjuation

Well...lol....I don't know what my favorite music is !!

I do like Phil Collins quite a bit.......I prefer the late 60's into 70's style rock better than what's out there today....I'm partial to the folk tunes of the 60's and 70's as well, though NOT thier politics...lol...(commies!!)

Michael Murphy (if anyone knows who he is!)...James Taylor, John Denver, America, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Eagles, etc..etc...

I'll also listen to some country tunes...but mostly because I LOVE the fiddle and that's about the only style music that has a decent amount of fiddling/violin in it...that I can find on the radio anyway. Classical is good too....for the same reason...lol ! (Gotta LOVE that instrument !!)

I guess I can safely say that I perfer the mellower music with beautiful melodies and instrumentals...not so much the loud obnoxious ear splitting noise that my son prefers to listen to... Lol...Bless his heart..
