Favorite Power Filter?

I currently am running 3 Penguin Bio-Wheels on my various tanks. I like the bio-wheel concept and have been relatively happy with their performance thus far. But a couple weeks ago I got an AquaClear to supplement my 55. I'm liking it's quieter operation (less splashing noise than the bio-wheels) and I feel it has more "sucking" power than the equally rated Penguin. So....I'm contemplating switching my Penguins over to AquaClears. But I want to get opinions on which filter you all think is best. So pick your filter of choice and if you have reasons why or what you like/dislike about one or the other I'd like to know about it!

Im a fan of marinelands. I have had motordrive problems with both penguins and aquaclears pump system.

i used penguin biowheels and i like them. i've seen aquaclears in action and i like them too. one day i'll get an aquaclear.

For power filters, I like the aquaclears. I have had the Emperor before in the past and it did run well but if foor some reason I needed to start it up again, it was a real pain. I have the penguins by Marineland as well and they are good filters but for some reason i am having a problem with the bio-wheel on one of them that is a realatively new filter. It has only been on the tank for about two months and the bio-wheel wants to stop all of the time. I am constantly checking it to see if the wheel is still turning and I swear I have to keep restarting this thing every day. I have tried everything but this problem still persists. I am just about ready to trash this filter. The aquaclears I have running on several of my tanks to date do not give me problems and are very quiet. They are by far my favorite for a power filter.

Willinger Bros. SecondNature Whisper Power Filters

I love the Willinger Bros. SecondNature Whisper Power filters. I have a Model J, Model C, 2 Model 1s, a Model 2, and a Model 3. I am very happy with them as the cartridges are cheap, they smoke color blends in with the aquarium, the pumps last forever and you almost never have to do impeller/motor maintenance, and they have a flow control. I love it!! Too bad you can't buy them anymore. Tetra took over and now they have lower flow rates with louder operational noise. Tetra hasn't changed anything but the impellers. The new impellers make them louder and make them have less flow. SecondNature Whisper Power Filters were the first power filters invented. Great design and long lasting. Two Thumbs Up!!!
