Wow

I like it alot.... What fishys are you putting in there?

Thanks everybody!

Yes that is an internal filter, its inside the log, which also hides the heater inside. Very convenient!

As far as stocking I have a young angelfish about an inch and a half tall but growing fast, 2 kuhli loaches, a bulldog pleco, 3 adult guppies, and 7 young guppies about 2 1\2 months old, some of the bigger ones are just now starting to show their sex. My female betta shown in the photo is in my old 10 gallon now all by herself, but I've had her for about a year and a half. I figured by now she would be showing signs of old age but she keeps on going strong!

Fballguy,

I love your tank, and I think that your filter is probrably the best use for one that I have seen. Many times they seem to be so out of place or not very natural. I have been thinking about getting one for my tank just because of the ability to hide the heater in it while adding some extra filtration. Do you have any opinions on it so far? Is it worth it and does it have any drawbacks? Also, does the very top need to be sticking out of the water or can it be fully immersed?

Thanks for sharing your tank with us!

I love the filter, and can't find any drawbacks. It comes with a whisper 20 internal which works just as well as any other filter of its size. The top does need to be sticking out of the water. I leave it about 1/2 inch below the outflow. If you get the water too close to the top the fish will find their way in as the top is wide open. My rubberlip is the best at getting in even if the water is about 1/4 of an inch from the top he somehow wiggles his way in.

It also makes a good guppy fry trap as the intake where water flows into the log has holes just big enough for them but they never can get into the filter itself.

Can you give us some updated photos?
