Feather duster lighting needs

they dont need any light because they arent' photsynthetic :)
they get by soluly on feedings of phytoplankton
 
Exactly you could keep them in a pitch black room and they would grow as long as they get food, kind of like a sun coral, but there is no harm in having them in the light so you can look at how pretty they are.
 
will i need to drip acclimate the duster and if so for how long?

you know what, thats a really really good question. I actually don't know the answer.

But when I got my dusters, I did acclimate them for around two hours JUST to be sure.

I'd love to know the answer to this! lol.

I just temp aclimated mine and he is fine. even when I moved him from my big tank into my smaller one I just dumped him in (kinda forgot to acclimate or anything opps its happens) and after he found a place he like he opened Hes opened now, pretty hardy little things.
