Yeah I did also until I read a post by someone informing them where the actual feeding area should be.. So I now target feed mine twice a week with a general dosing in the tank daily.
i agree that the crown should re-grow. and do you guys turn off your pumps when you feed cause i don't bother anymore target feeding i just dump it in the tank and let em filter feed it out (too lazy to turn off pumps)
I have a huge duster in the big tank that has been there for at least 8 months and have never target fed it, I do dose the tank with phyto and turn filter and skimmer off for an hour. Willhave to watch out for shrimp - will it only pick on the heador will it go for the tube too?
Yeah I turn off the pumps during my normal feeding time for everyone else and use that time for target feeding everything else.. But its funny in that its taken me forever to get the tank used to the turkey baster and when I use it for target feeding phyto, my little piglet clowns swim over thinking its more food until I start releasing it.. Then its like ewwww.... and they swim back to their side of the tank.
