Febreeze?

Couldn't the vapors get in through the air pump?

then you better stop breathing because you will get CO2 into the tank.

C'mon. Let's be realistic. What is the volume of air in your house in cubic feet? Now spray some Febreeze and tell me how many PPM that is. Now lets talk about the exchange between ambient air in the room and the surface water of your tank.

Sorry if this sounds rough but you are highly overracting. You introduce more bad things to your water when you stick your hand in the tank for any reason.

I wouldn't worrie about it. When I was servicing tanks the only problems that I encountered do to airborn stuff was at a funeral home. The embombing fluid seemed to wont to kill anything in a tank that was in close corders to the room. Even when we moved the tank it still ment realy often and harsh water changes.

No the tank was never in the embombing room LOL

actually , your concern is genuine.

there are plenty of chemicals that when dispersed in the air can cause harm..not only to your fish but to you.
luckily most of the chemicals are not in the household.

just use some safe practices..most of the particulates in fabreeze are heavy..as long as you are not spraying it up in the airspace above your tank.

shelby tempo gt..CO2 is not a bad thing in an aquarium and is essential for plants. I have CO2 diffusors and reactors in several of my planted tanks.

I use febreeze w/o problems.
I also shampooed the carpet in the room a couple weeks ago. No problems, but it was very smelly, had to open the front doors. I just turned off the filter, pump ect until the odor dissipated.
