Feeder Fry

Ummmm... You'll want to grow those fry out a little for'em to really make a impact foodwise, unless you have literally thousands of newly hatched to a few days old fry being bred almost continously.
What type of fish are you planning to feed?

Angel
Tetra
Discus

These will be the prime consumers of the fry. I'm sure some of the fry will escape long enough to grow out or even reach adulthood in this setup. If they reach adulthood I'll turn them into breeders.

honestly, i think you should seperate these systems and make a BIG breeder tank where the fry can fall to the bottom and get away from mom and dad. and then you could let them age a bit and just net some and feed them off at your pace. i think the process of getting the fry to your main tank will complicate things further than you need. also, if you grow them out a little bit you won't need to feed so many at once since they'll be a better meal.

Good Points!!

Idea number two....

Feeder Breeder Tank with an acrylic divider drilled out to 1/16" or 1/8" every 1/4".... Put a sponge filter on the feeder side with a siphon to a filter/sump and return to the breeder side. That way the current sweeps the fry to the protected side were they can be netted and fed to the larger fish when they have grown out sufficiently.

I can divide the 15g with a 75%/25% ratio and keep the fry side bare-bones.
