Feeding Apistos

What should I feed my apistos? I'm ordering from foster and smith, and want to know what to get.

Frozen food and/or live food would be great.

live is really great, microworms/whiteworms. Frozen is ok too, cycopeeze, bbs, shaved blood worms. I also give mine flake a few times a week.

Any prepared foods? Frozen are pretty expensive, and live are hard to keep supplied.

they are not picky eaters. Feeding a good flake is fine. I feed alot of live to mine to condition them to breed

Do they breed easily without live food?

depends on teh fish. My domestics spawned on dry foods (I was not really ready for them to spawn). Some other types take a bit more work and conditioning

So I'm just going to replenish my supply of sinking shrimp pellets, and feed them my floating hikari cichlid gold, along with some tetra flake.

Also curious, how big do cacatuoides get?
