I have about 8 of the suckers left. Theyre about 1-2 cm long. How many times a day should i feed them? I have been feeding them 3-5 times a day. I dont know if I'm doing the right thing though.
no, mom passed away  , there were about 80 fry, only 8 or so left. I have improved my skills of keeping ever since I joined the forums. Hopefully they'll survive to be mature adults. I feed them this powdery food I picked up at petco.
Feeding fry heavily is good for them... so long as it doesn't damage your water quality.
If you continue to feed 3-5 times a day, you need to be doing extra large water changes. Also, make absolutely sure all the food you put in is being eaten... a small margin of excess gets magnified when you feed that often. Note that 4 angels is too much for a 29 when they start to grow a bit... but my question is, how have any of the fry survived with them in the tank?
I feed my guppy fry the same food I feed the adults, just ground up between my fingers. No complaints.
Yea i know my tank is getting over crowded, but I have no space for an upgrade. Hopefullly the fish will make it through until we move sometime next year. As for the fry. I have them in one of those plastic breeders. The main reason there are about 7 left is because the angels would suck them out of the little openings on the side and eat them. Since they are a little bigger now, they dont fit in the holes, so they are safe. If these little suckers starte growing on me, I might set up a little 5-10 gal in my room for a temporary home until I have the option for a bigger tank. Reguarding the question, Ill continue to feed them up to 5 times a day. I do daily 30% water changes now, so I think the water is fine regarding over feeding. And since the bio load in my tank is so much, I need to do the water changes to keep it nice and clean.
Since an upgrade isn't an option, I would trade in two of the angels the moment they show signs of pairing... or take back 3 of them now (if you keep two and they don't get along, you'll have problems)
That's assuming your tank is a "tall" version, and not a "breeder". A 29 long tank isn't enough space for angelfish at all... simply not enough vertical room for a tall fish.
On the molly fry... you don't have the space to care for them, upgrading isn't an option, and you're pushing your water quality trying to grow them out. Personally, I would take them out of the breeder and let your fish snack on them. This may not work for you, but what exactly are you going to do with 8 3" fish in an allready overstocked tank?
