Feeding coral

it depends on your corals. some dont ever need to be fed, some dont need to be but will benefite, others needs to be fed all the time
what types of corals are we talkinga bout here?

I dont have any coral yet, but i will be getting coral soon. so i just wanted the info before i do anything with them. Say like mushrooms, clams, sun coral, polyps, in those range of corals.

mushrooms dont need to be fed, but can be fed something very fine, raw, seafood, and meaty.
most zoos do not feed very well because they are so small, but as with mushrooms, it isnt really needed
sun corals are nonphotosynthetic and need to be fed something small, finely chopped, and meaty every few days
clams (which are not corals, and i assume you are tlakign about tridanca sp.) are mainly photosynthetic. if they are under 3"s, they should be fed phytolankton every few days. you can put them in a bowl full of it to prevent tons of extra phyto polluting your tank. make sure to feed them live, and dont inject it right into their intake siphone, otherwise, it could kill them so they will jsut reject it
