Feeding Fish "human" food?

I've fed channel catfish pieces of hotdog and pieces of crab meat.

hot dogs are bad for everything (people included).

boiled spinach for shrimps, they love it

not realy human food but i heard of a guy who used to feed his discus dog food.
he said that regular dog food is too oily so he fed the discus "diet" dog food

Peas!!! Mines go nuts for frozen peas, remove the skin.

I put a half dozen frozen peas in the microwave for 30 secs and then just squish them in the water in the tank. My gouramis, otos,and kuhlis will eat skin and all. My gouramis also eat the algea wafers I put in for the otos.
I crushed some frozen broccoli for them the other day, they ate that, too. Has anyone tried lima beans?

And apples, they like those,too.

Exactly. The peas go fast. Some tetras, sunfish, bullhead, Synodontis all go for them. Fish I assumed were pretty much carnivorous go for them.

Haven't tried the apples.
