Feeding Ghost Shrimp to Africans

i feed all of my fish ghost shrimp but i dont have africans. my fish love them

I was waiting for a "African" expert to speak up, but since nowone is I'll add my .02. I think it would be ok as a treat every once in a while. Alot of "Africans" are more herbivorous than SA cichlids, so don't overdo it, but "as part of a balanced diet" (as the cereal comercial says) it would probably work.

Depends on what kinds of Africans you're talking about. Are you talking about carnivores, omnivores, or herbivores?

Ok, did a little research. Frontosa are carnivores, so the ghost shrimp would be fine for them, what else is in there? I know mbuna aren't supposed to be fed too much protien.

Just hope that you dont have a male and female out of the pulcher and brichardi as they will readily cross and will eventually kill off all other fish in the tank. They breed like crazy and will over run and populate the tank real quick.
