Feeding Kuhli Loaches

Usually two to three blood worms (small) per fish. They are fairly large for bettas also.

that is not much, I throw a couple of 1/2"x1/2 frozen cubes a day.

Perhaps it just happens in Bettas????

No, I've heard this a lot with a lot of different kinds of fish.

Nashnut, I'm with you on this one. Dropsy isn't a disease persay, it's a condition that can be caused by many different things (bacteria, viruses, bad water quality, parasites ... ). It keeps turning up being mentioned in the same sentense with bloodworm though. It's turned up enough that I've become sceptical about using bloodworms. There are other options for food. I'll stick with those! A fish with dropsy is a sad sight indeed.

Yes, it is. This was a lovely black marble plakat that I intended for breeding. I really feel that the Foster/Smith shipment of blood worms that arrived cold but not frozen is the problem. Each case I've had is shortly after the blood worms.

I just can't figure out why it doesn't bother the younger fish. My last spawn just loves them and gorge themselves without a problem. The minute one of my adults touches them I have a problem. It is always with the males though. That's another thought.
