Feeding my blue lobster

I have had a blue lobster that I'm not quite sure what I should be feeding him. I have just been putting the fish food flakes in the water and I'm assuming that he just eats what's left of those off the bottom of the tank, but is there something else that I should be feeding them instead?

They tend to like live food I believe... Probably guppy fry and Molly fry would be good bets. I bet your oscars would like em too. DO NOT buy feeders from the petstore.

Just post an add in the classifieds for livebearer fry... I can guarantee you'll get hits. if you're not comfortable with that, set up a ten gallon tank and put three female guppies and one male in it. (after cycling) they'll breed and you'll have mounds of fry to feed your fish. :)

Technically, there is no such thing as a freshwater lobster. I've bred crayfish for a long time, and have never fed mine with live fish. They seem to be like cats. Some hunt and kill rats and mice, but others do not. I know it's not a perfect analogy, as cats are taught to do so, while some crayfish may never hunt fish.

I've used sinking pellets, even rabbit food, to feed my crays. As a treat I give crays, and larger shrimp, blanched veggies, such as peas. I also occasionally feed them small chunks of tuna (packed in water, not oil). I've heard of others that feed red meat, but this is risky. Red meat can foul the water if not strictly monitored.
