Feeding Oscars(away for the weekend)

I wouldn't even worry about feeding them over the weekend, and no weekend feeders won't work. Feed them well before you leave, and they will be fine over the weekend. Most fish are fine for even a week without food, and often you need to fast them in order to get them to eat certain things.
Agreed. Fish can easily go a week or two without eating (comes with being cold-blooded), and oscars are no exception. There are too many issues that can come with others feeding your fish that are best avoided. Especially with oscars, I'd be worried about someone overfeeding them because they act so hungry all the time.
If you DO have someone feed them for you, make sure they know how much to feed (or rather NOT to feed) them! Because they'll just keep eating, and eating, and eating...

Just an FYI, I'm gone 3-5 days every week with work, my cichlids go through that period without food easily. I wouldn't worry about feeding until they go well past 7 days.
