I always use the small or baby zucchini because its just enough for them to eat in one afternoon plus no seeds to be floating around in the tank. I rinse off the outside, cut the ends off, and split it lengthwise. I then put half in the microwave for approx 30 sec and then dunk it in a cup of cold water to cool it off. Put it in a veggie clip and pitch it in the tank where I can see it and watch as they come out from under the rocks and driftwood almost like they can smell it. All thats usually left is whats under the clip. Try it, its an easy healthy treat for plecs as well as your cichlids if you happen to have them in the same tank.
