Feeding

On the days I feed them they get:
NLS and Hikari mix pellets - 2 or 3 times
HBH Spirulina pellets - once
Leaf Lettuce shreds - once
Once every 2 weeks I'll throw a frozen 'cichlid treat' in

I feed mine twice a day and vacume the whole tank out with a diotome filter every other week.

Babies and juvs, I feed maybe 5 times a day and they sure do grow fast as long as you stay very curent on water.

The feeding and vacumes are going to be cut way back do to me setting up 4 more 55s. I have time issues.

I feed mine every other day and once a day on sat and sun. Sometimes a snack if they are giving me the sad eye look.

If you are going to feed everyday then..... I would feed twice in smaller amounts because that way the fish do not eat to much at 1 time. Feed the same amount you would in 1 feeding or 20% more spread into 2 feedings. Just my opinion not an expert.
