Feel like a fruitloop for asking but...

I looked at my bottle today. Definitely not Java Fern. I do believe its Aponogeton boivinianus.

Take a look at this pic:

Yup, thats what I have.

And since I started dosing with excel the thing has gotten huge and beautiful. No wonder they put a pic of it on their bottle haha! ;)

Yeah, dont forget what I said:
The apon can also grow at an alarming rate... wheras java fern is relatively slow. The apon can also get huge, like 2-3' long atleast.

So how big a tank do you have?
In my 75 it it grew to the top and then kept on going, with leaves covering a good half the tank... I'd call it a monster plant lol. Both the times I've tried them though they started to die back after a few months and finally died away and never came back.

If you have a bottle of Excel, you can see that the leaves on the Excel bottle has several veins running the length of the leaves and not just the central vein. Java fern leaves only have the central vein running the length of the leaf.

It's an Aponogeton boivinianus.

Thicker stripes indicate that the aangel is either an Altum, or Altum mix.

Blue
actually a wild sclare will sometimes have the wide band of the black bar..but the brown bar between the black will be wide on the Altum and narrow on the Scalare.
th face of the Altum as well as body shape is different.
the scalare's bar will also not run the entire height of the body.

I have not seen any altum mix since the altum has only been bred in captivity in rare instances. and in the wild I have not yet seen this mix.

but it is a handsome Angel. I'd love to see a bigger picture
