feeling low, considering throwing in the towel

I have a few goldfish, the only thing they don't seem to eat is hornwort. Everything else I dropped in there was devoured really quick, but the hornwort hasn't even been touched. Not that it's really a show plant or anything... but it's green and they leave it be :)

Kelly, check the quarantine guide in a subforum. I included some resources. Prazi is not illegal. There are just very few sources for that and they're currently approved, just very limited.

mine devour hornwort :rant2: little sods lol!

ye i noticed that earlier lupin, brilliant to know. il be investing in some very soon, huge thanks for that :D

IF the goldies do nothing, throw in some tropical fish, tin foils whatever. My goldfish are always on the move unless its nap time. Adds more color and movement to your tank. My tinfoils and balas keep everyone moving.

I was just at one of our chain petstores, and, the people working in the fish department are older... and fish keepers. Most have goldies. I just bought some live plants and they recommended I feed romaine lettuce, spinach, slices of zucchini, as well as the skinned peas to help keep the fish from munching on the plants. Several big leaves of romaine lettuce would keep several fish busy for quite a while, I would think. They told me I could leave the veggies in for up to 24 hours, but at that point, to change them for fresh. I use a suction clip to attach it to the glass.

I was feeding dried seaweed, but I really don't like the way it makes the water look milky and they really eat that up fast.

Anyone have any thoughts?
