ok i know i have asked questions about rams, but i have one female and one male, in my 35 hex and the female is getting bet up, what do i do, do i move the male into the 20long with 2 other rams untill she get big, or do i just wait it out

try adding line of sight structure.

I use a piece of driftwood with a curtain of java fern..sometimes the males are ready to spawn but the female is not....this will give her a place to hide.

the idea is.if the male cannot see her he won't try and instgate anything..when the female is ready..she will move out so the male can find her.
if that doesn't work you may need to move one for awhile.

would this work adding more plants and drift wood and another female

ok thanks, and would some diter fish like odessa barbs help too

it might work
adding dithers may not help much..the rams won't target dithers..tho it may increase comfort for a bit.
adding another female adds another dynamic to the tank..the male won't be able to bother both females..but conversely you may get a pair form(Lose pairs in the case of bolivians) when that pair forms you will definitely need cover for the 3rd wheel female.
you may need to remover her.

i have a 20 long with one male bolivan ram, and do i need more plants

no, they case eatch other around every once and awhyl but nothing serieus, some times they fight, but not often, i have lots of plants and drift wood in there
