That is why it recommended to have 3-4 females for each male present in a tank. The harassment can be so severe thet females will die from it, unless there is a sufficient population of females. Most hobbyists opt for the brightly colored males over the more drab females but they are doing their fish no service by doing so.

that is why i have very few male endlers,.. one 3-4 adult males to a 20long with tons of females,..

females will jump out and die if they can,.. rape is never good,.. even in fish,..
