Female swordtail losing colour

I have a female swordtail, she's about 1 year old. We noticed a few weeks ago that her face area had gone from orange to a silver/almost white colour. Now she's completely silver/white, with only an orange stripe running through her tail. Any ideas what has caused this, the fish seems fine otherwise and water params are perfect. All the other fish in the tank are looking healthy its just this one swordtail
 
i really dont know, but some fish just change colors over time. some fade, some brighten. in marine systems, some babies are totally different colors then their parents.

the fish wasn't dyed right?
 
I've seen this happen to aging fish. It could be normal. Not sure.
 
Thanks for the replies, the fish wasn't dyed to its not because of that. I'll see if I can get a photo of her for you, hopefully its just due to old age
