I've had an ongoing parasite problem (mostly mollies and platys) for over a year now...
I have some fenbendazole (panacur) that is 222mg/g. I have been told this has worked well for others.

What would be the dosage for treating internal parasites in FW aquaria?

FWIW, I have treated it with other meds with no success, so I don't need feedback on other treatments...thanks.

Are you aware that fenbendazole isn't very effective when used as a bath, but really must be eaten to be effective? Flubendazole is a better choice if you don't want to mix up a medicated food. If you're set on the Panacur dissolve 1/4 tsp in 1/2 tbsp of garlic extract(it tastes awful and fish won't touch it without a bit of flavor enhancement) and add this to 1/2 oz of something dry that you know the fish eat. Flakes, pellets, or FD foods are all fine. Mix well. Feed daily for 3 days and that should do it.

Thanks for the advice. the fish are slowly dying off anyway...well worth a try. a friend recommended the fenbendazole-said it worked for her. I will certainly try it in the food.

Anyone have a recommended dosage for in the water? I know it's less effective, but would like to knock out anything free in the water too.

What exactly makes you think it's parasites? It could be SO many other things. Mollys and Platys like super hard water and won't do well in soft water. It could be something as simple as that. That's just an example.

I remember reading online a couple weeks ago that you should us 7mg per gallon. I have not used this treatment myself but I was researching for someone else who has the same problem with her guppies as you.
