You are correct. pH in an injected tank should be read immediately for best results.
Any delay allows gas to leave the vile and a mis-reading.
Nocturnas - When you start dosing, IMO, it's best to dose them dry if you have a filter that allows this, or mix in a glass and pour it into the tank if you don't.
Dosing individual ferts. allows you to see the affect of dosages on the water table and testing will then show plant usage of elements during the week.
Even after all these years I still dose individually, mainly because even though I know my tanks and their basic needs, I'm frequently changing plant mass and type. This makes the needs to change as the tank changes.
Also, if you still have a very low fish load, you probably can do without dosing KCl. There will be plenty of K in your KNO3.
